Fight like a magical girl!
What are the essential components for a magical girl RPG and how can we make it more inclusive for all genders?
Marketing Materials
As a way of promoting the project and its female creators, supporters were rewarded with a "Fight Like a Magical Girl" slap bracelet. They were also encouraged to share pictures of themselves wearing the bracelets on social media using the hashtag #FightLikeAMagicalGirl to spread awareness about the project.

Kickstarter Web Banners
The game was supported on Kickstarter, and during that time, I created web banners for the campaign.
Targeting Inclusivity
Our campaign emphasized inclusivity, welcoming players of all genders to join despite the RPG's focus on "magical girls." I also designed the player's handbook and character sheets.Player's Handbook

Reflection: Takeaways & Next Steps
Lessons Learned from Domina Magica's Kickstarter Journey: Resilience and Adaptability in the Face of Unexpected Challenges
The Kickstarter project was able to raise over 40% of its target goal thanks to the support of more than 840 backers and a responsive, engaging team. The project aimed to create a fun and light-hearted game that engages players of all genders and orientations.
However, despite initial success in crowdfunding and garnering significant support, the founders of Third Act Publishing encountered some personal difficulties and were unable to complete the publishing process. As a result, the company was sold, but a PDF version of the game is still available to play for free online. Hopefully, the new owners will be able to publish Domina Magica soon.
